Dedicated pupils who gave school 100 per cent were treated to dinner out and a movie.

Thirteen West View Primary School youngsters earned the prize after not having any absences for a whole year.

They enjoyed dinner and a film at Flix Movie Cafe, in Church Square.

Leanne Todd, acting head of school, said: “They all enjoyed it very much. In the afternoon, the children got certificates when we explained what treat they got to inspire other pupils to get 100 per cent for next year.

“We are immensely proud of them. Attendance figures have risen over the last five years. Children love coming here.”
