Have your say

WOULD-BE contestants have one last chance to weigh in for a new fitness challenge.

We are fast approaching the deadline for people to put their names forward for the Weigh Forward weight-loss challenge.

So far, eight people have done just that, but people can still enter as long as their names are with us by midnight tonight.

The competition has been launched by the Hartlepool Mail in conjunction with Tavistock Leisure and personal trainer Steven Smith.

The winner will receive a hotel stay and one-to-one personal training for two months.

And for one runner-up, a month’s supply of personal training is the fantastic offer.

There are no restrictions on people entering – just get your name in.

We want to hear from everyone, whether you are a couple or entering on your own.

It doesn’t matter what your reason is for wanting to lose weight and get into shape.

We want all your stories.

Our competition will run for eight weeks and will feature up to 10 contestants split into two teams.

They will be offered training from the experts including Steven Smith, who already provides personal training in Hartlepool.

He will keep a close eye on every entrant and personally shape their exercise regime.

Steven said: “We have had a great response so far but it would be wonderful to get one or two more involved.

“This is a chance to get fit and change your lifestyle so why not come forward.”

To enter, all you have to do is send your name, age, address, current weight and occupation to the Mail’s head of features Chris Cordner.

Don’t forget to tell us your story of why you want to lose weight and remember to include a current photograph of yourself.

Once participants have signed up they will be asked to take part in a regular training programme led by Steven.

The programme will involve fitness tips, dietary advice and lots of other help in the weeks ahead.

All contestants will be weighed and monitored, with the results highlighted in the Mail.
