HARRY Potter fans are in for a treat with the first showing of the latest film in Hartlepool tonight.
Films fans will be able to see both parts of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows back to back tonight at Hartlepool’s Vue cinema, off Marina Way.
The eagerly awaited part two of the film is due to premiere tomorrow and die-hard followers can see it at one minute past midnight.
The Deathly Hallows Part 2 is the final story of seven books that chart the adventures of young wizard Harry and his friends Hermoine Grainger and Ron Weasley.
The tale has been split into two films so all the magic of the books can be captured on screen.
Darren Williams, manager at the cinema, said that the decision to show the double bill was taken so they could be viewed as they were meant to be read.
He said: “We didn’t want to cut corners.
“They are big films and with this one being the final film, there are obviously going to be high expectations.”
He advised fans to buy tickets in advance as past Harry Potter screenings have been incredibly busy.
“We try to deal with demand and try to make sure we do not have to turn people away, but previous events have sold out.”
The double bill will start at 9.20pm today with the second part premiering shortly after midnight.
For those who do not want to see the first part again, Vue will be showing the second instalment alone on at least another three screens.
It is expected to be a busy evening with large queues and with both children and adults donning fancy dress.
Mr Williams believes tonight will be an enjoyable night and would like to encourage Harry Potter fans to join in the fun for one last time.
He said: “I think it will be an amazing evening.”
