FINANCE expert Bridget Holmstrom has had almost 20 years of liaising with industry.

She is hoping it stands her in good stead in her bid to win an office for a year.

Bridget, from Stokesley, has entered her company called BH Financial Tuition into the Keys To Success competition, which is run by the Hartlepool Mail in conjunction with UK Steel Enterprise.

Her firm provides financial training to businesses and other organisations and she wants to bring her expertise to even more companies.

She said: “I believe that it is essential that all business managers understand, at the very least, how vital cashflow is to the general wellbeing of the company.”

BH Financial Tuition’s aim is to give business managers the confidence to review their financial statements and make informed business decisions.

Bridget added: “Winning Keys to Success will help me to achieve my objectives of growing the business by providing financial tuition to businesses based within the Tees Valley.

Her hopes are to take on an extra pair of hands to handle the organisation of the business, and to give sales support. BH Financial Tuition is based in the Middlesbrough area and Bridget is hoping a move to Hartlepool is on the cards by becoming a winner.

She said: “Having an office located in the Hartlepool Innovation Centre would certainly help in my expansion plans and develop my customer base.

“It will provide a solid foundation from which I can build the business and achieve my ambition to get all Tees Valley businesses to understand how their cashflow works, and realise how important it is to know your cash balance at all times.”

With just hours left to the deadline in Keys To Success, a last call has gone out to people thinking of entering.

The eventual winner will move into a 200 sq ft office which is rent and rate free for a year and can comfortably accommodate three people. The office is in the Hub Two building at the Innovation Centre on the Queens Meadow Business Park in Hartlepool. Facilities include one of the fastest Internet connections in the region; a water system that re-uses collected rainwater; and a charger for electric vehicles in the car park.
