FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a large blaze at a Hartlepool industrial estate.
Nine fire engines from across the region battled the major blaze on the Graythorp Industrial Estate at the fire’s height.
The blaze at the building which contained waste, broke out just before 9pm on Sunday.
There are no reports of any casualties and no one was in the building.
The fire brigade’s presence included six fire engines together with a hydraulic platform and command and control unit.
By around 11pm a number of the crews left the scene as they got the incident under control.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
The building measured around 150ft long by 90ft wide.
