CROWDS are once again expected to flock to the seaside for an annual fireworks spectacular being staged next month.
The popular display, which takes place at Seaton Carew seafront, attracts thousands of people each year and is one of the main attractions on the Hartlepool Borough Council calendar.
This year, firework fans have the added bonus of the event being held on Bonfire Night, Saturday, November 5, with a special Harry Potter theme.
The fun gets underway at 4pm with children’s rides along the seafront, then live music provided by town-based charity Red Dreams will keep the crowds entertained prior to the fireworks display at 6.30pm.
Claire Munroe, Hartlepool Borough Council’s marketing officer, said: “We are sure this year’s event will be a magical and mysterious experience for all the family as the theme is Harry Potter.
“We would advise people to arrive early to enjoy some entertainment before the display, and look out for something a bit different.
“Once again the event is completely free of charge, thanks to the council’s partnership with Niramax Total Waste Solutions.”
To help ease the congestion along Seaton front, shuttle buses will leave Hartlepool Maritime Experience regularly between 5pm-6.15pm, making the return trips from 7pm-7.30pm.
Meanwhile, Hartlepool Rugby Club, in Easington Road, is putting on a display from 6.30pm which will also include children’s entertainment and refreshments.
