A fishing party has been rescued after the boat they were on suffered mechanical failure.

Hartlepool RNLI's all weather lifeboat was called into action, yesterday, at around 1.15pm.

A 32ft fishing party boat with 10 people onboard had suffered mechanical failure near the Tees Bay Wind Farm.

The alert was raised by Humber Coastguard.

The boat was towed to Hartlepool Marina.
