A DELIGHTED trainer has praised every one of the Weigh Forward contestants after an astonishing set of results on the scales.

Our competitors have completed their second weigh-in since they first started the contest run by the Hartlepool Mail in conjunction with Tavistock Leisure and personal trainer Steven Smith.

The top three performers were Kevin McKenzie and Tony Mann who each lost 9lb, and Jean Leonard who shed 5lb.

It took Tony’s total loss to an impressive two stone just a fortnight into the challenge, while Kevin has now slimmed down by 20lb, and Jean by a stone.

But personal trainer Steven said it was not just the top three who had done themselves proud.

“Everyone’s fitness is getting 100 per cent better. They are all working together and pushing each other really hard.

“They are all there for each other.”

Hard work is no barrier for our dynamic dozen. Steven explained: “No matter what I tell them to do, they do it.

“Even if they are struggling, they give it a go.”

He said the competitors had “surprised themselves and are all grateful for his input.”

He said the challengers were also working well with his fiancée Amanda Hockburn, who is helping out with the training as well.

The hard work will all be worth it as the winner of the competition will receive a hotel stay and personal training with Steven for two months absolutely free.

A runner-up will also be celebrating. As well as getting into shape, they will receive a month’s supply of personal training.
