TEAMS are sought to compete in two new football leagues soon to be launched.
Hartlepool Borough Council’s sport and recreation service will run the leagues, with weekly matches taking place at Grayfields recreation ground.
A six-a-side league for male adults will begin on Monday, May 14, and games will then be held every Monday from 6pm-8.30pm.
This league is aimed at players over the age of 16 and teams should have a maximum of nine players in their squads.
Games will last 40 minutes (20 minutes each way) and will take place from either 6pm-6.45pm, 7pm-7.45pm or 7.50pm-8.30pm.
There is a league registration fee of £6 and then a match fee of £18 per week.
The second league, a five-a-side league for males aged 12-18, will begin on Thursday, May 17, and then continue every Thursday from 6pm-9pm.
Games will last 30 minutes (15 minutes each way) and teams should be picked from a maximum of eight players. Again, there is a league registration fee of £6 and a weekly match fee of £5.
