A HOSPICE which helps children from areas including Hartlepool has shared in a £40,000 boost from a law firm.

Dickinson Dees has raised £40,168.82 for its charity of the year, Children’s Hospices UK.

It follows a year of fundraising activities by staff at the firm.

The chosen charities are children’s hospices in the Tees Valley, Newcastle and York where Dickinson Dees has offices.

Butterwick Hospice in Stockton, which takes in children from areas including Hartlepool, was one of those to benefit as well as St. Oswald’s Hospice in Newcastle, and Martin House Children’s Hospice in Yorkshire.

Dickinson Dees managing partner Jonathan Blair said: “I’m delighted with all the hard work and effort that our staff have put into raising money for our chosen charity.

“They have all really thrown themselves into the various events that we have held over the past year.”
