Hartlepool and East Durham Mind has received a cheque for £2,000 to help the organisation’s work.

The money was presented by Brian Follett from the Province of Durham Freemasons Benevolent Committee.

Accepting the cheque on behalf of Mind were project worker Lizzie Cruddace and finance controller Gordon Veart.

Ms Cruddace said: “The money donated by the Freemasons will make an invaluable contribution to our work in East Durham, where we provide self-help training courses and wellbeing groups for adults who are experiencing various mental health conditions.

“It will also help with providing further support and training to the volunteers who assist us in this work.”

The charity is moving from Lee House in Peterlee, to the East Durham Trust office in Yoden Road, Peterlee.
