HUNDREDS of families enjoyed fun in the sun at a community association event.
The annual Rift House Community Association Family Fun Day was held at the Masefield Community Centre, in Masefield Road, Hartlepool.
Organisers say about 1,000 people from the Rift House area of Hartlepool turned up to the event.
Young and old enjoyed a range of activities including children’s rides, a car boot sale, Punch and Judy performance, a bouncy castle and refreshments.
There was also a range of stalls, arts and crafts, games, a penalty shoot-out, plus produce on sale from the Waverley allotments. Youngsters from the Red Dreams charity also perform.
Irene Cross, Hartlepool Borough Council’s neighbourhood development officer, said: “It is a real pleasure to work these events and to see the families spending time and enjoying themselves.
“Everyone had a really fun day. There must have been about 1,000 people over the course of the day.”
