Children enjoyed an annual Strawberry Fair accompanied with a slice of summer sunshine and the sounds of a ukulele band.

Youngsters, parents, carers and staff from Greatham Primary School, in Egerton Terrace, Greatham Village, turned out for the yearly event at their school.

Hartlepool Ukulele Group (HUG) played some of their favourite tunes which had the fair goers clapping and singing along, and they were also joined for a couple of hits by some mini ukulele players from the school itself.

There was also an African drum set played by some of the school’s other musical children.

As the music played and the audience clapped and sang along, others enjoyed the stalls and refreshments, while the pupils had their faces painted, played football and took part in competitions to win sweets.
