A COUNTRY park is offering a feast of family fun over the coming months.
Summerhill, off Catcote Road in Hartlepool, is hosting various events and activities including archery, climbing, arts and crafts and guided nature walks during the next three months.
Tony Davison, co-ordinator at the 100-acre nature reserve, said: "As ever, we have tried to include something for everyone in the programme.
"By taking part in these events and activities people can also find out more about the facilities we have at Summerhill, including the visitor centre, the purpose-built boulder park, the BMX track and children's play areas."
The events, times and prices are as follows:
Going for Gold – Adult-only archery taster from 2pm-4pm on Saturday. 4.50 or 2.70 for concessions.
Volunteer Taster Day – Coppicing, from 10.30am-3.30pm on Sunday, January 30. Free.
Going for Gold – Family archery taster for ages 11 and over from 2-4pm on Saturday, February 12. 4.50 or 2.70 for concessions.
Climbing for Kids – Teaching on indoor climbing wall for six to nine-year-olds from 10am-11.15am on Monday, February 21. 1.
Stick 'Em Up – Building sculptures out of natural materials for ages five and over from 1pm-3pm on Monday, February 21. from 1-3pm. 1.50.
Take a Running Jump – Sports and games for eight to 11-year-olds in visitor centre from 10.30am-noon on Tuesday, February 22. 1.50.
Winterhill Birds – See winter birds and make a birdfeeder for ages five and over from 1pm-3pm on Tuesday, February 22. 1.
Home Tweet Home – Bird box making for all ages from 10.30am-noon on Wednesday, February 23. 1 per box.
Spring has Sprung – Join Dezzy Cairns for crafty fun using recycled material from 1pm-3pm on Thursday, February 24. 1.
Spring-scape Weaving – Bub Bacon's weaving workshop for 10 to 16-year-olds from 1pm-3pm on Friday, February 25. 1.
Volunteer Taster Day – Hedge laying from 10am-2pm on Sunday, February 27. Free.
CD Mobiles – Recyling CDs for over fives from 1pm-3pm on Sunday, March 13. 2
Paws 'n' Prints – Stroll for over fives from 1pm-3pm on Sunday, March 27.
