THERE is a string of activities for all the family to enjoy at a popular countryside park this summer.

Summerhill, based off Catcote Road, in Hartlepool, will be hosting the first event next weekend where families can make their own notice board on Saturday, May 17, between 10am and noon.

Hartlepool Adult Education is holding the workshop to give families the opportunity to work together to make a fabric covered, padded, ribbon notice board for any room in the house. Again, all materials will be provided.

Then on Saturday, June 21, between 10am and noon, people can make their own mini garden scarecrow.

Meanwhile, the popular country park also hosts monthly car boot sales.

Organised by Hartlepool Borough Council, the events takes place from 10am to 1pm outside the visitor centre. Admission is 20p for buyers and there is a charge of £8 per vehicle for sellers.
