Fun on the cards

YOUTH centre bosses are encouraging youngsters to join in the fun during their school holidays.

Manor West Youth Project, which is based at Brierton Lane Shops, is hosting a week of fun activities during the February half-term holiday.

Youngsters can enjoy ice skating, a pantomime, a community fun day and a trip to the cinema and bowling.

The fun starts on Monday, February 13, with an ice skating trip and visit to see the Aladdin pantomime.

On Tuesday, February 14, children will be visiting Nature World, in Middlesbrough, before a community day of fun on Wednesday, February 15.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, February 16, there is a trip to Splash, in Stockton, planned before ending the week with a visit to Vue Cinema and UK Superbowl, in Hartlepool.

The ice skating and Aladdin Pantomime day costs £15 per child but the price for the other days is £7 per child.

Children are asked to wear suitable clothing and trainers and bring a packed lunch for each day.

Parents are asked to take their children to the Manor West Centre for 9am each day.

Lynette Stokes, a community support worker at the centre, said: “Manor West Youth Project has organised some half-term activities to keep children busy.

“These are always popular and we hope children join us throughout the school holidays.

“The age for the activities is eight years to 16 and to secure their child’s place all activities must be paid in full when booking their place.

“Places are limited so it is first come, first serve.”

Bookings can be made by calling into the centre, at the top of Brierton Lane, Monday to Thursday between 9am and 1pm and on Friday between 9am and noon.

No refunds will be given and organisers have stressed that the programme is subject to change without notice.

No bookings will be taken over the phone.
