A CRICKET club for people with sight problems will be raising money at a charity event this weekend.
Durham Visually Impaired Cricket Club, which has members from all over County Durham and Teesside, including Hartlepool, will take on three sighted teams in the event tomorrow.
Russell Welsh, 42, from Seaton Carew, who has just 12 per cent sight, plays for Durham Visually Impaired Cricket Club.
The sighted teams will wear special glasses to simulate various eye sight problems.
It takes place at Tantobie Cricket Club near Stanley and trophies will be presented after the tournament.
There will also be refreshments, an auction including some world cup memorabilia, tombola and bouncy castle and other events.
All money raised will go towards the club.
