PEOPLE are being urged to band together and support a popular youth group during a musical fundraising night.
Residents can enjoy the sounds of the 1950s and 1960s courtesy of the Dead Kat Bounce band at a do this Friday.
All of the proceeds from the night will go towards funding youth projects at the Belle Vue Community, Sports and Youth Centre, in Kendal Road, Hartlepool.
The club currently provides for around 250 young people, aged five to 19-years-old, a week.
Organisers say raising funds to ensure it keeps going is an ongoing battle.
The music night is being held at the Belle Vue Social Club, also in Kendal Road, from 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £5 and they are available in advance, but a small number will be on the door on the night.
There will also be a pie and peas supper, bingo and a raffle.
Centre manager Gordon Larkin said: “This is an event supported by the community safety and crime prevention teams because they know the importance of continuing to support the youth club.”
A series of fundraisers have been held over the past few months including a sponsored bungee jump, race nights, sponsored dips at Seaton Carew and community fun days.
For tickets or more information about the fundraiser call the centre on (01429) 221832.
