More than 108 pupils entered the competition with 11-year-old Gabbi chosen as the lucky winner.

As well as winning Easter eggs for herself she also bagged the chocolate treats for the rest of the pupils in Class 5.

Jodine Milne, marketing manager at Stagecoach North East, said: “We are delighted with the response from the Easter Egg Hunt Competition and love the idea of children across the North East keeping an eye out for all of our Easter characters.

“We are always looking for new ways to engage and work with local schools and the community and are pleased to make journeys more enjoyable and interactive for our passengers.”
