YOUNG bookworms can enjoy a summer of reading thanks to a library.
Headland Library is holding a Saturday Club throughout the school holidays for children aged between five and 12.
The club, which is part of the library’s Summer Reading Challenge, will be held each weekend during the summer break and will run from 11am to noon.
It will feature book reviews, quizzes, puzzles, games and colouring sheets to keep youngsters entertained.
Library manager, Josephine Bonner, said: “We try to organise events to keep the youngsters busy during the summer.
“We will organise different activities throughout the holidays and if it’s anything like our past events we will get a good turn out.
“Parents don’t have to book a spot for their children in advance so the youngsters can just come along and enjoy the session on the day.”
