A STORE is doing its bit to raise money for Comic Relief with a double dose of Red Nose fun.

Sainsbury’s Middle Warren in Hartlepool, will be aiming to raise hundreds of pounds when representatives of the store and friends will take on Hartlepool Under 17 boys team in a sponsored football match.

It will kick off at 1pm on Saturday, March 7, at English Martys School and the footballers will be dressed in red tutus and red noses. It’s one of a number of events in the run-up to Red Nose Day on March 13.

Pitchside events will include a cake sale, raffle and family activities.

Admission is £1 per person with all funds raised going to Red Nose Day.

On top of all that, the Sainsbury’s senior management team will be taking on bush tucker eating trails on Friday, March 13, between 3pm and 5pm.

Store manager Steve Emmerson will lead the eating tasks. Customers can nominate from a selection of gruelling food challenges in return for a donation to Red Nose Day.
