A TALENTED girl band is hoping to put on a sparkling show - in two different competitions on the same day.
Sparkle - which is made up of 12-year-old Holly Bentham and 11-year-olds Lottie Willis, Campbell Daniels and Lily Gowland - have reached the regional finals of the Teen Star competition.

They will perform for the judges in Huddersfield on May 31 in a bid to reach the national stages of the prestigious contest.

But then, they face a drive back to the North-East to appear in the finals of the Bring It On competition at the Custpms House in South Shields on the same day.
All of them are students with Miss Toni’s Academy of Singing and Performing Arts, which is based in Park Road, in Hartlepool.
Academy owner Toni Parker-Harvey said: “It is fantastic and everyone at MTA is supporting them.”
It’s been quite some year for Sparkle who qualified for the national finals for the Open Mic UK competition.
They wowed a 1,000-strong audience at the glittering finale at Birmingham NEC, despite missing out on the top prize of £5,000.
The group was only formed late last year and was among just 25 acts from across the country to make it through to the finals.
