Generous readers have so far donated dozens of presents to the Mail’s Give a Little Gift Christmas appeal.
Your kindness will help make a big difference to under-privileged local children this Yuletide – but we ask you to please keep on giving.
We want to collect piles of gifts that will be distributed to numerous official causes in time for Christmas Day.
The Mail has once again teamed up with builders merchant MKM Building Supplies in Hartlepool to help deliver the festive cheer.
Donations have steadily been coming in since we launched the campaign just over a week ago.
To get behind it, all you have to do is drop off unwrapped presents for youngsters at the MKM base in the town’s Burn Road.
Anything you can give will be gratefully received from small gifts such as cuddly toys and selection boxes to any bigger presents.
Over the years our appeal has put a smile on hundreds of under-privileged children’s faces and last year around 800 gifts were given.
But we are hoping to get even more this year with your amazingly generous support.
Mick Sumpter, a director at MKM Building Supplies Hartlepool, said: “The people who received them last year were surprised and grateful but if we had another 800 we would have found places for them.
”We really want to do much better than last year and get agencies involved and do the best we can.”
People can take gifts to MKM, in Burn Road, on Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.30pm or on Saturday between 7.30am and noon.
