PARENTS in Hartlepool are being urged to take advantage of a scheme that uses football to boost young children’s development.
Weekly Footie Tots sessions are an ideal way of improving the balance, agility and co-ordination of children aged between two and five.
The sessions, which are organised by Hartlepool Council’s sport and physical activity team, take place at Throston Primary School from 3.30pm-4.30pm every Monday during term-time.
Senior sport and physical activity co-ordinator Gemma Ptak said: “As well as boosting children’s development, Footie Tots is great fun and we also try to encourage parents to get actively involved in the sessions.”
Each session costs £1.95 for Active Card members, £2.45 for non-members and £1.60 for concessions.
For more information contact the Sport and Physical Activity Team on (01429) 284050 or just turn up at a session. Parents must remain with their children at all times.
