THE glitz and glamour of Hollywood came to Hartlepool when a store hosted a charity event.
The Boots store at Anchor Retail Park, off Marina Way, turned on the style when they held an event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Beauty advisors Carly Jenkins and Remi Atkinson dressed up in glamorous outfits as they greeted customers.
The event coincided with the launch of a new mascara so the pair thought they would add the Hollywood theme.
The event raised £210 over the course of last Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Carly said: “We were raising money for Macmillan but had the Hollywood theme because of the launch of the mascara.
“It was really good and we are going to keep on collecting funds while we are promoting the mascara. We were doing mini makeovers and people were giving donations.
“It was really good to have a bit of a laugh dressing up and getting customers involved and it was fun to dress like Marilyn Monroe as she is a bit of a pin-up.”
She thanked customers for their support and added: “Boots have a strong partnership with Macmillan, we have strong support for them so we are always looking for ways to raise money.”
