Gold and sliver jewellery stolen in house raid

POLICE have appealed for information after a burglary in which jewellery of great sentimental value was stolen.

The burglary took place at an address in Pine Grove, Hartlepool, and detectives say a quantity of silver and diamond jewellery was stolen as well as a Tom Tom satellite navigation system and hundreds of pounds in cash.

The jewellery is of great sentimental value to the owner as it was a gift from a family member who has now sadly passed away.

It happened between 2pm and 8pm on Friday, September 6.
