AN award winning town company has pledged support to Hartlepool & District Hospice.
Hart Biologicals, based on the Queens Meadow Business Park, has joined the hospice’s Guild of Patrons.
The company makes and supplies medical diagnostic test kits and materials used by GPs, pharmacies and hospitals.
They include warfarin monitoring for deep vein thrombosis, stroke and other cardiovascular problems as well as the prevention of massive blood loss in surgery, trauma and military scenarios.
Hart Biologicals managing director Alby Pattison said: “Over the years we have supported the Hospice through organised events but we are now committed to supporting in a more direct way. ”
Hospice corporate fundraiser Carol Sennett said: “Hart Biologicals has been a keen hospice supporter for a number of years. We are delighted that the care and support we provide to the local community has been the inspiration for it joining the hospice’s Guild of Patrons.”
