BARGAIN hunters are invited to a popular attraction’s first ever car boot sale.
The car park at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience, off Maritime Avenue, will be full of car owners selling goods from 8.30am to 1pm on Saturday, September 10.
Entry for the public is just 50p, which under 16s getting in free.
Anyone wanting to sell their own secondhand items can turn up on the day but must arrive between 6.30am and 7.45am. The charge for sellers is £8 for a car and £12 for a van.
Katie Hammond, Hartlepool Borough Council’s cultural events officer, said: “This is the first time we have held a car boot sale at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience, but it follows our recent very successful boat and caravan auction.
“Everybody loves to browse for a bargain and this is an excellent opportunity to find some. Also, if you want to make a bit of extra money for yourself, why not clear out your attic and cupboards and bring your unwanted items along to sell on the day?
“To add to the fun, the ever-popular Hartlepool Farmer’s Market will be on in the car park at the same time, selling an impressive range of home produce including meats, cheeses, cakes, pies, jams, herbs and plants.”
