POOLS fans could have the chance to net £15,000 after a club launched another groundbreaking season ticket deal.
Hartlepool United’s award-winning ticket drive last year saw almost 5,800 season passes sold with adults’ priced at just £100 each.
Season ticket prices are being kept low again for the 2012-13 campaign with adults paying just £155, senior citizens £125, under 19s £75 and under 13s £50.
A jackpot is also being set up for those who buy a season pass, with the total depending on how many tickets are sold.
And if the 5,000 mark is hit again by July 31, one lucky fan will walk away with £15,000.
Pools first team coach Neale Cooper is backing the scheme – and even fancies a dabble at the prize draw himself.
“What an incentive the cash prize is. I’m thinking about buying one myself,” he joked.
“But this is an absolutely fantastic offer. Although I wasn’t at the club at the beginning of the season, this follows up on what was an unbelievable deal last summer.
“My message is ‘get down and support the club’. The support’s been fantastic this season and I’m sure it will be next season as well.”
Last year’s campaign saw Pools promise to lower adult season tickets to £100 each if 4,000 were sold before mid-July. They would have been £150 if that magic figure had not been reached.
The club recently won the Best Marketing Campaign Award at the Football League Awards 2012 for the season ticket drive that ran under the banner Are You Coming to Pools?
This year’s push will carry the same slogan and will give fans the chance to watch all 23 home games next season at a rate of just over £6.70 a match.
As well as all adults having the chance to scoop a cash prize, under-16s who buy a season ticker prior to the deadline will be entered into a Matchday Mascot Jackpot to win a mascot package for one League One match at The Vic next season.
Pools chief executive Russ Green said: “We were determined to keep football affordable at Victoria Park. And as well as that we wanted to do something unique but also reward all of our loyal fans who backed us so brilliantly last summer.
“We think the pricing scheme we have come up with represents great value for both adults and children, and the potential for a huge cash prize at the end of it is something we hope will really excite everyone.”
Tickets are set to go on sale from the Victoria Park Ticket Office at 10am on Monday, April 9.
