Hartlepool assault victim has part of ear bitten off

Part of a man's ear was bitten off in a violent attack in Hartlepool town centre.

The 28-year-old victim was assaulted on York Road, near to the car park to the rear of Yorkshire Bank.

The incident occurred between midnight and 4am on Friday, March 10, when the victim was approached by a man.

As a result of the attack the victim received treatment at James Cook University Hospital.
