FIREFIGHTERS from across the area spent more than more three hours putting out a large fire on an industrial site through the night.

Ten appliances from across Teesside, including Stranton Station, were called to the site, at Seal Sands, after receiving reports of the blaze at around 3.20am on Wednesday.

Police closed the roads around the site while firefighters attempted to fight the blaze.

Fortunately there are no reports of any injuries in the fire.

The fire was put out at around 6am today and the roads around the sound were reopened.

An investigation will now be launched to determine what started the blaze.

Cleveland Police thanked members of the public for their assistance.
