The “make-under” show asks what the great British public really thinks about striking, individual and unique styles that can make people stop and stare.

An expert team of three stylists experiment with new looks and help people understand more about themselves and what makes them tick, with a bit of fun and banter along the way.

Darius, 29, who successfully applied online to appear in the programme, went along dressed in what he describes as a “space goth” look before asking for the public’s response.

“I’ve tried to get in with some agencies but haven’t been able to so I hope being on the programme will help,” said Darius.

“The challenge I had to do was hand out 15 roses to girls in London.

“After that I went back to have the “make-under” off screen where I was given a new hair style, make-up and some new clothes to wear.

“I was blindfolded through the whole thing so I didn’t know what to expect.”

Not wanting to spoil the surprise of what his look is transformed into, Darius says he had a “great time” filming the programme alongside stylist Karen Williams, make-up artist Melissa Sofia and hair stylist Daniel K Palmer.

“All of the stylists were great and really fun to work with,” he added.

“I think it helped my confidence quite a bit.

“I still want to get signed up by an agency as an alternative model and I hope this will help.

“I’m going to try again once the show airs and maybe people will notice me.”

The 100% Hotter episode which Darius features in airs on 5Star on Wednesday, April 5.
