A Hartlepool pub is getting a £60,000 facelift.
The King Johns Tavern, in South Road, will remain open during the works, which are due to be completed by the end of next week.
The Wetherspoon's pub will be completely decorated throughout, with the walls, ceiling and beams repainted, retaining the similar blue and grey interior colour scheme.
All of the timber work throughout the pub will be refreshed and new additional lighting pendants installed to the seating areas, as well as new carpet throughout.
The back bar area is also being redecorated, with new over-bar glass racks installed.
The ladies and gents toilets will also be redecorated.
Pub manager Tony Lee said: "Wetherspoon has spent £60,000 on The King Johns Tavern, providing further investment into the town.
"Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming existing and new customers into the newly decorated pub, which has been popular since it first opened, in June 1998.2
