Hartlepool RNLI volunteers honoured by chief constable

Hartlepool RNLI volunteers have been given a ‘Chief Constable’s Community Award’ for their collaboration and team work in the search for a missing man around Hartlepool Marina.

The RNLI were involved with other teams were involved in three days of searches in February for a missing 51-year-old Andrew Roy, from Cornwall.

Cleveland Police Chief Constable Iain Spittal said: “The RNLI do some outstanding work.

“This is an opportunity to thank them, and a number of other local partners, for all the hard work they do, not just in this instance, but day-in and day-out.”
