Pupils from Years 4 and 5 of St Joseph’s RC Primary School in Hartlepool led an assembly about Remembrance Sunday.
The children reminded parents, carers and pupils that we should take time to remember those people who fought, and died in world wars. and more recent conflicts.
Robyn, a Year 5 pupil, said: “We visited the Hartlepool War Memorial and each chose a Hartlepool soldier who had died in the wars.
“We called out his name and placed a cross on the altar to remember him.”
They then held a minute’s silence and played the Last Post.
