POLICE had to deal with a two-car smash in Grange Road, Hartlepool on Thursday night – just three hours after a separate smash which saw an 11-year-old boy taken to hospital.
Hartlepool police officers and paramedics attened the scene of the crash, at the junction of Grange Road and Mulgrave Road, at about 7.50pm.
The emergency services are yet to release further details of the collision.
Earlier in the day, at 4.53pm, a schoolboy was hit by a car in Raby Road, near to Dyke House School.
A spokeswoman for North East Ambulance Service said he suffered leg injuries and was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton.
She said: “We were informed of the incident by a member of the public.
“The boy suffered leg injuries, but was conscious.”
