A DEVOTED dad whose son was killed in a freak swimming pool accident has died after a battle with cancer at the age of just 41.
The death of Hartlepool man Tony Salvin has left his wife and his four other children distraught.
Little Anthony Salvin died just a month short of his fourth birthday after drowning on holiday in Majorca, Spain, in September 1993.
His death left Tony and his Anthony’s mother, Karen Barnfield, broken hearted.
Tony went on to rebuild his life and had another son, Ryan, before meeting his wife of nine years, Annalisa, 36, and having three other children.
On December 18, 2009, tragedy was to hit the family again when Tony was diagnosed with stomach cancer.
But after a fifteen-month battle Tony sadly lost his fight on Monday.
