WE’RE off to a flying start in our search for health heroes.
The Hartlepool Mail has already reached double figures in its Best of Health competition in which we pay tribute to the excellent people who care for us in style.
But there this is just the start - and we want to get closer to TRIPLE figures in the numbers of entries we receive.
So come on, get nominating and let’s praise the people who deserve it most. Those who protect, improve and save our lives.
It could be anyone from a GP to a nurse, a dentist to an optician, a pharmacist to a carer, a student to a midwife, or a receptionsit and even a team of people.
If someone has gone that extra mile to help you, surely they deserve some praise.
It could not be easier for people to nominate their favourites from all sections of the health system..
All you have to do is go HERE and you’ll find the entry form
Entries will be taken in the following categories:
GP of the Year;
GP Practice of the Year;
Dentist of the Year;
Nurse of the Year;
Team of the Year;
Optometrist of the Year;
Pharmacist of the Year;

Midwife of the Year;

In all categories, judges will be looking for evidence of how nominated teams and individuals have consistently delivered high quality patient-centred services and/or examples of demonstrating an excellent attitude towards patients in the Hartlepool area.
The nomination forms will also be made available in reception areas, waiting rooms and other general areas over the next few weeks.
Send your completed forms to Lynn Wild, Echo House, Sunderland, SR4 9ER.
