HEALTH bosses are encouraging people who have recently joined a trust to consider becoming governors.
North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust is about to hold its elections for eight public governor vacancies across the area.
There are two vacancies in Hartlepool, four in Stockton, one in Easington and a further role in a non-core public constituency.
Chairman Paul Garvin said: “Having a council of governors is a feature of any NHS foundation trust and it gives local people a greater say in how we plan for the future.”
To stand for governor you must be a member of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
If you are not already a member you can apply online at www.nth.nhs.uk/about/membership or by contacting the private office on (01642) 383765.
People can get nomination forms by ringing 0208 889 9203 which must be returned by 5pm on Tuesday, October 14.
