FAMOUS names from the world of fashion will be represented at an exhibition coming to Hartlepool.
Mary Quant and Jeff Banks are among the high street labels on show in a display called She Wears It Well: The Fashions of Marguerite Elliott at the Museum of Hartlepool.
It starts on Saturday, October 15, and runs until Sunday, January 29, to celebrate women’s fashion.
The exhibition features clothes worn or made by Marguerite Elliott who is a retired local clothing designer and former student of the Royal College of Art.
Most of the collection has been donated to the Hartlepool Cultural Services department and will be on show for the first time.
The exhibition will be accompanied by iconic pop music from the 1960s to the 1980s to reflect the timescale of most of the costumes.
The event will also include a performance titled 50 Years of Fashion to take place on board the Wingfield Castle on Thursday, November 3.
Doors open at 6.30pm for a 7pm start and the show will last for around an hour. Tickets costing £3 are available from Hartlepool Art Gallery by contacting (01429) 890000.
