RESIDENTS are being made aware of a council’s schedule for bin collections over the forthcoming bank holiday periods.
There will be no change to recycling and refuse collections for people living in the former Easington district over the Easter weekend and May Bank Holiday.
Collections will be as normal in all areas of the county up to and including Good Friday, April 22.
But during the week commencing April 25, collections will be one day later than usual in the Sedgefield area.
Collection crews will still be working the day of the Royal Wedding, on April 29, to empty bins that would normally be emptied on a Thursday.
They will also be working on Saturday, April 30, to empty those bins that would normally be emptied on a Friday.
During the week commencing May 2, collections will again be one day later than usual in all Durham County Council areas, except for the Easington area.
Collection crews will be working on Saturday, May 7, to collect bins that would normally be emptied on a Friday.
Further information is available by calling the council on 0300 1237070.
