The father of two, who was well known among the traveller community, was taken from his home at Rodridge Hall, Hutton Henry, to the church on a colourful cart led by a horse.

Floral tributes reflected his passion for horses in the shape of a horse shoe and his favourite tipple with another wreath shaped like a bottle of whisky.

He also loved shooting and going away in his caravan. Following the service, Stan was laid to rest at Easington Colliery cemetery.
