WILL you be joining these proud parents to show off your beautiful babes?

Scores of mums and dads have been queuing up to take part in the Hartlepool Mail’s Bonny Babies competition.

Our annual contest is up and running, and we are looking for a gorgeous girl or a beautiful boy to lift this year’s crown.

Could your little one follow in the footsteps of Grace-Louise Haggar, who was named winner of the Bonny Baby 2010 competition?

Eager to ensure her nine-week-old son Charlie Lungut was snapped for the competition was Vicky Bage.

The 30-year-old, who lives in West View and is also mum to Nicole Dolan, 15, and Joshua Dolan, 12, was with Charlie and her mum Shirley Bage, 60.

Vicky said: “I would say Charlie has a good chance of winning.

“We get a lot of comments about him all the time, he is perfect.”

Laura Thompson, 20, from the Dyke House area, took along her six-week-old son Leon Foster to be included.

She said: “I can’t wait to enter him, he is so gorgeous and I can’t wait to show him off.”

Jessica Malcolm, 20, was also in the queue with her eight-month-old son Liam Copeland.

The Rossmere resident said she previously entered her three-year-old son, Lewis Copeland, twice in the competition so she is hoping it will be third time lucky with Liam.

Nicola Graham, who turns 24 today, thinks her 10-month-old daughter, Holly Shaw, has what it takes to win the title.

Nicola, who is also mum to Faye Shaw, four, and Lucy Shaw, three, said: “At least the competition’s free – most similar ones you have to pay for.”

Rachel Neil, a full-time mum from Rift House, entered her six-week-old daughter, Katie Neil, in the contest.

The 26-year-old, who is also mum to Milliejo Neil, five, said: “I haven’t got any photos of Katie yet so I thought we would enter.

“She’s my little angel, she’s a winner in my eyes anyway, it doesn’t matter where she comes.”

Colin Moran, 33, and Rebecca Robinson, 21, entered their children, one-year-old Kenzo Moran and seven-week-old Corbin Moran in the event.

Colin, who is also dad to Keiron Moran, eight, and Curtis Moran, nine, said: “I couldn’t be more proud of the boys.”

Rebecca, of Parton Street, who is also mum to Tobias Robinson, five, said: “We get any amounts of comments about how gorgeous they are.”

There are three age categories in the competition – birth to 18 months, 18 months to three years and three years to five years.

All the winners get a 16ins by 12ins canvas print worth £125 and first place also gets a Middleton Grange Shopping Centre voucher worth £100, second £50 and third £30.

To enter, just fill in the coupon which can be found in the Mail today on page 14.

Then take it with you to the studio in Central Square, in Middleton Grange Shopping Centre, between now and Saturday, October 29 (excluding Sunday, October 23), where your child will be professionally photographed free of charge.

You will then be given an appointment to choose which photograph will appear in the Mail and be entered into the competition.

All entries will appear in the Mail in the following weeks.
