Is it time to pull our troops out of Afghanistan?
POLITICAL, military and religious figures have united to express their grief over the loss of six British soldiers on what was described as a “dark day”.
Prime Minister David Cameron set the tone just after the news broke, describing the attack as a reminder of the “huge price that we are paying for the work we are doing in Afghanistan”.
His comments were echoed by Defence Secretary Philip Hammond, who said the “tragic” event brought home “the dangers that are faced on a daily basis” by those deployed in the country.
