THE word is spreading across Europe about the greatest town in the world.
Two parts of Italy are the latest places to hear about Hartlepool thanks to our Proud to be a Poolie campaign.
We have got town family Tommy and Madge Johnson, their daughter Karen and granddaughter Georgia to thank for taking a copy of the Poolie poster with them on holiday.
They posed with it at the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and in St Peter’s Square, in Rome.
Thanks go to them for their efforts.
Why not take your chance to show your passion about your town?
All we want you to do is pick up a copy of our poster from the Hartlepool Mail reception or download it from www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk. It contains the slogan Proud To Be A Poolie.
Take it with you whenever you go on holiday or go away for a short break.
Have your photograph taken with the poster and send it to us so that we can publish it – and show that you have helped to spread the Hartlepool word.
Send your photos, as well as details including age, address, telephone number and email, to the Mail newsdesk, Hartlepool Mail, New Clarence House, Wesley Square, Hartlepool, TS24 8BX, or log onto www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk
