FORTY jobs are on the way to Hartlepool thanks to a town company which is expanding.

Town-based building services Brickwork Services Ltd is adding the posts to its existing 170-strong workforce, as well as investing more than £100,000.

The company, which has clients including Yuill Homes, Taylor Wimpey, Miller Homes, Keepmoat and the Esh Group, needs the increased workforce to handle a list of contracts worth millions of pounds in place.

Brickwork Services was started in 2004 by Steve Willis. He said the construction sector was “showing definite signs of improvement”.

He said he was already “actively recruiting” to find to find the additional teams of skilled bricklayers that we need to meet demand.”
