There will be something fishy goings on at a Hartlepool shopping centre this weekend.

The popular Snapper Jaxx Kids’ Club returns to Middleton Grange and this time it is bringing some ‘Fishy Tales’.

Parents and children are being invited to attend the free event and make friends with the shopping centre’s very own fishermen, Mack Rall and Dora Dory.

From 11am to 4pm on Sunday the pair will be entertaining the crowd with barnacle-busting tales of trawling, as well as teaching children how to be good friends to fish and how to tie ship-shape sailor knots.

Mark Rycraft, Middleton Grange centre manager said he was expecting the pair of piscine professionals to be a jumbo-sized hit.

“The combination of play, crafts and lots of laughter has made Snapper Jaxx hugely popular with parents and children alike, and we always look forward to their antics,” he said.

“Last month’s tennis-themed event was a massive success, and we’re sure that Mack and Dora will prove just as entertaining.”

The free monthly Snapper Jaxx Kids’ Club is held in the centre’s main centre square, near McDonalds, and has a different theme on the last Sunday of the month until the end of October.

“This week is another opportunity for children to add to their Snapper Jaxx loyalty card,” added Mark.

“Once children have collected four stamps, they will receive a free goodie bag filled with treats.”
