Hartlepool & District Hospice’s annual It’s a Knockout and Family Fun Day is set to be bigger than ever before.
It has already raised more than £25,000 for hospice care since it began in 2012, and demand for this year’s event is growing.
It will be held on Saturday, July 11, from 11am at Hartlepool Old Boys Rugby Club, and the It’s A Knockout competition will be held alongside a great family fun day with attractions for people of all ages.
They will include children’s fairground rides, pony rides, a climbing wall, fire engine, raffles, tombolas, and beat the goalie competition.
Food and drink will also be available including a bar, barbecue, and cake stall. Proceeds from stall holders will be go towards the hospice. There will also be guest appearances on the day from
Anna and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen and a display from Hartlepool Hawks.
Hospice fundraiser, Greg Hildreth said “It is lovely to see this event grow every year. I think people know what a great day out it will be, whether they are taking part as a competitor or coming along as a spectator. Most importantly, the growth of this event means that we are able to generate greater funding to invest in our patient care services.”
To take part in the It’s a Knockout competition costs £10 per person (plus sponsorship) and people can register a team at www.hartlepoolhospice.co.uk or contact Greg on (01429) 855529.
