Late-night Hartlepool house fire caused by electrical fault

AN ELECTRICAL fire in a Hartlepool home sparked a response from two fire engines late last night.

Crews from Stranton fire station were called to Grange Road at 11.18pm on Saturday.

They discovered a tumble dryer on fire in the kitchen of the house,

The room was five per cent damaged by fire, and 95 per cent smoke damaged.

Nobody was injured and the crews were stood down at 12.06am.
