A HORSE and trap rider who was badly hurt after a collision with a car is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
Police say the 32-year-old man is being treated for internal injuries, a fractured pelvis and possible broken right foot in James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough.
His injuries are not said to be life threatening.
Three men, aged between 18 and 21 who were travelling in a Renault Megane car, are still being questioned by police about the incident after being arrested.
It followed the incident which happened in Belle Vue Way, Hartlepool, near the Brenda Road roundabout, at around 8.20pm on Sunday.
Police have re-issued their appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
